Dear SWD readers, I just wanted to share with you this touching story of two year old Logan Stevenson who served as Best Man at his parents wedding. This cutie suffers from Fanconi anemia( an acute form of Leukemia) and has been given  just a few weeks to live.
 His parents who were already  planning to wed  next year decided to hasten their  wedding because they wanted Logan to see them marry and  be part of family photos.

After a whirlwind week, the Jeannette couple tied the knot in a hastily arranged backyard ceremony that formalized their union and celebrated Logan's life, which doctors say will be cut short soon by cancer

This story reminds me  that it is by God's that we are able to see another day, to be in good health and have healthy families....this is just a 2year old innocent child who was born with this condition, has undergone several surgeries to correct  this condition yet none of them were successful and he has just been given 2-3weeks to live! He didn't do anything to deserve this suffering just as we haven't done anything special to deserve God's grace in our lives...I hope his story can touch you and me  to take a moment to appreciate the little things we have had to ask God to shower this family with the strength to move ahead.
I so wish we were back in those days when Jesus can just say get up and walk...nevertheless, miracles do happen...I pray for God to place his healing hands on you Logan!!

Few weeks past, Lindsay Vonn; Tiger's new squeeze said that though she is happy dating Tiger, she is not interested in marrying the guy. This made me wonder why she will publicly acknowledge dating this guy....goes to all his games...and then say something like this. Well, now we know the reason!!

Vonn is apparently afraid Woods will cheat on her with ex-wife Elin Nordegren during a summer vacation with her and their kids in Sweden, the National Enquirer reports.

Trayvon Martin trial...Purpose revealed...Character assasination of a death 17 year old!!!

Wow...U just took out my thoughts and put them into words...Thank u Martin Bashir....This should have been the closing statement of the prosecution....and to think that they are considered as one of the best in the Country!!! This makes u w...onder if the whole process of the trial was just an act to fool the population into thinking justice was being served....I am no lawyer....but as representatives of the state and with all the infinite financial and material resources at their disposal, I am shocked that the only thing the prosecution could come up with is a STAR WITNESS in the form of an ex-girlfriend who couldn't find time to attend his funeral and showed obvious communication challenges....( wasn't she groomed; prepared for possible questions?...Pls read John Grisham).....where were Trayvon Martin's friends, family....neighbors?....congrats, you are all such good actors...so much that the trial itself should be made a lifetime movie....y'all acted your parts so well we don't need someone else to play you...RIP TM!!

Trayvon Martin AGAIN!!..another black kid shot death by a whiteman after a fasle accusation of theft!!

John Spooner, a 76 year old pensioner has been found guilty of first-degree intentional homicide in the fatal shooting of unarmed black neighbor, 13, who he falsely thought was stealing from him

Spooner suspected Darius Simmons, 13, of breaking into his Milwaukee home and stealing guns.  Spooner confronted the teen on the sidewalk two days after the weapons were discovered missing and demanded they be returned when the teenager denied stealing anything, Spooner shot him in the chest whilst his mother watched.

 The case has drawn comparisons to the trial of George Zimmerman; In both cases, an older white man killed a black teen because the shooter believed they were suspicious.

I was comforted as I thought that the jury in this case genuinely found this murderer guilty in their own right and not because they are afraid of the same backlash resulting from the Trayvon Martin case. Yet I have been proved wrong...as the trial has now moved into a second phase when the defense is claiming that Spooner was suffering from mental illness and did not intend to kill the child....wow I am speechless...all this even though Spooner’s surveillance video is proof enough of what happened....you watch  the surveillance video below  and decide for yourself if this White man did not shoot this BLACK child with an intent to kill....and YES!! I have highlighted the words; white and black because I know it deep in my heart that this tragedy is as a result of RACISM....if this 13 year old was white, the chances of him being wrongly accused of theft and killed as a result is so slim!!!

Wow..the similarity of the case and physical appearance of and Trayvon and Darius  is chilling!!

Just watched an episode of the Real House Wives of New Jersey.....so sad to see the length people are prepare to go to just retain a celebrity status. Just wonder if these women and men have given any thoughts to the effect all these is going to have on their future and that of their kids....one day the public is going to be tired of you....the show will end and you will stop being relevant...and then what! shame on you!!!

And shame on me too for watching.....and I can't for next week's episode...hahaha...

The lessons of Death!!

Hi SWA readers....
I just returned from work this evening and immediately  upon opening my FB page, I saw this post about an old school mate who just past away!

I did not know this guy personally, had never spoken to him to the best of my knowledge...but I did know about this guy, I knew his friends  family! and one thing I know for sure  is that we are in the same age group.. may be he had married, have kids but I don't know but I am sure that just like me, he had parents, siblings and maybe a wife and kids....just like me he had plan for his future: for the next tomorrow or next five years yet he is no more!

I got up this morning just hoping that I could sustain the next  10 hours of work this  Friday not knowing that there are  those who were just hoping  for another second, minute or hour of life ....to maybe see, talk to or laugh with their love ones.....if God have given you an opportunity to breathe for another second, minute and hour of the day, it is because He has a purpose for your life ......Dear friends, I pray that we may  for ever be thankful for any additional second, minute, hour, God  adds to our lives and that we continue to  pray for his continual guidance for the achievement of his purpose of our lives....

should it be possible for us to know that tomorrow we will be more, I am sure hat just like me, you will give any and everything  just  to breathe another day.....May his soul RIP!!
